Exam session on Saturday, May 15, 2021

The next Amateur Radio Exam Session is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 9:00AM. at the Ivy Creek United Methodist Church  674 Woodlands Road Charlottesville, VA 22901

We have agreed to abide by the CDC protocols to use the facility, i.e. the wearing of masks, social distancing and registration for contact tracing should someone come down with COVID-19.

** Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we can only provide seating for approx. 24 candidates at one time.

** We will administer a test to everyone who registers by sitting the next candidate in order of registration.

** You may be asked to wait outside the facility until a seat becomes available.

*** PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MASK and WEAR IT UPON ENTRY ***

You will not be allowed to sit for a test if you are not wearing a mask.

Make sure to bring:

— A valid government issued photo ID, (current driver’s license, Student photo ID card, Military ID passport)

— $15 cash for the sitting fee (this goes to ARRL/VEC)

— A printed copy of any current amateur radio license. and

— Your FCC FRN that you must obtain online in advance using:

If you bring a calculator, make sure you know how to clear all memories.  You cannot use your cell phone’s calculator.

Pencils, pens, and scratch paper will be provided as needed (the back of the answer sheet is preferred for scratch paper).
