Morris Jones NM4R

September 22, Morris Jones NM4R became a silent key.  Old timers will remember the many contributions that Morris made to the local ham radio community.  Morris was a NCS on the Virginia Late Net every Wednesday for over 40 years, in addition to serving as the NCS of the Northern Piedmont Emergency Net for many years.  Morris was the DEC of District 3 and was the Trustee of the WA4TFZ club call sign.  For 37 years, Morris taught Electrical Engineering at UVA, his area of interest was in high voltage transmission equipment.  Following retirement from UVA, and transfer of his other local ham radio responsibilities, Morris and his wife moved to Florence, South Carolina to live in a retirement community near his daughter.  Services were held on Sunday September 25.
