On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Dennis WR4I, spearheaded the AARC demonstration of Ham Radio at the Monticello District of the Boy Scouts of American Apple Harvest Camporee held at the Pleasant Grove Park Complex in Palmyra, VA.
Dennis was assisted by Joe, K4OPS and Bill, KF4IE. A portable HF station was demonstrated and over 100 Scouts spelled out their names in Morse Code using a straight key. ARRL brochures about Ham radio, STEM and Scouting were distributed.
