NET NOTES:
This week marks the end of the ninth year of the net. A huge thank you to all that have and continue to participate in the net, to practice and prepare to serve their community in times of need.
This year the net received a total of 56,006 messages (~1077/wk). Episode #446 had the most messages received: 1197 (so close!). There were 1939 unique participants (1658 US, 281 worldwide), with 705 being new to the net. #452 had the most new participants: 21.
171 Century Club Certificates (100 weeks of check-in) were issued; 49 received 200-week stickers, 18 received 300-weeks and 12 received 400-weeks! #444 was the first time the net issued the most certificates at once: 7. A total of 10,364 P2P messages were received (including ANCS being available to receive messages). ARDOP was used to send 2,437 messages, and VARA to send 7,927. #438 saw the most P2P messages received: 260. ARDOP was used the most during #417: 60, and VARA during #438: 204.
Paul (AB4VA) sent the most messages this year, 652, and David (ND1J) sent the most P2P messages, 509.
As we begin year 10, stay tuned for updates and changes which will be noted here and posted to the website. A historical database of all check-ins will be available soon, but also a return to the rules outlined in note #7 below. Please, take the time to review the roster as published against your message as sent: make sure there are no typos in your call sign! If you participate in P2P, do everything you can to prevent doubling on other participants: LOOK and LISTEN and stand by if not able to make an easy connection to a target P2P station.
